Uniform monolayer Cr2Ge2Te6 films are achieved on Si substrates by molecular beam epitaxy. Intrinsic ferromagnetism with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is established in the films by anomalous Hall effect and superconducting quantum interference device measurements, albeit with strong magnetic fluctuations characteristic of its 2D nature.

Growth rate and superconducting properties of Gd-Ba-Cu-O bulk superconductors melt processed in air
A generic Mg-doped Nd-Ba-Cu-O seed crystal has been developed recently for the fabrication of any type of rare earth (RE) based (RE)-Ba-Cu-O single grain bulk superconductor in air. The new generic seed simplifies significantly the top seeded melt growth

Engineering CO2 Reduction Pathways via Alloy‐Support Interactions in Li‐CO2 Batteries
Alloy‐support interactions in RuCu/NC induce interfacial charge redistribution and shift d‐band centers, steering CO2 reduction from Li2CO3 to metastable Li2C2O4. This pathway engineering lowers the rate‐determining barrier and suppresses carbonate formation, enabling high discharge voltage (3.23 V) in Li‐CO2 batteries with reduced overpotential (0.50 ...
