Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

Analysis of the Processes of Short-Currents Limiting by Transformer with High-Temperature Superconducting Windings [PDF]
An important advantage of transformers with high-temperature superconducting winding is their ability to limit the short-circuit currents. The article discusses a physico-mathematical model that analyses transient processes at short-circuit currents in ...

Superconducting Properties of MgB2 Bulk Materials Prepared by High Pressure Sintering
High-density bulk materials of a newly discovered 40K intermetallic MgB2 superconductor were prepared by high pressure sintering. Superconducting transition with the onset temperature of 39K was confirmed by both magnetic and resistive measurements ...

C16 Phase High Entropy Borides With High Magnetic Anisotropy
Rare‐earth‐free C16‐phase high entropy boride thin films exhibit enhanced magnetic anisotropy with coercivities surpassing their binary and ternary counterparts. Combinatorial synthesis of (Fe‐Co‐Ni‐Mn)2B films combined with density functional theory enables mapping of the magnetic properties across the composition space, revealing high entropy ...

Pseudogap in high-temperature superconductors [PDF]
This review describes the main experimental facts and a number of theoretical models concerning the pseudogap state in high - temperature superconductors. On the phase diagram of HTSC - cuprates the pseudogap state is observed in the region of current carrier concentrations less than optimal and leads to a number of anomalies of electronic properties ...

Role of anisotropic impurity scattering in anisotropic superconductors
A theory of nonmagnetic impurities in an anisotropic superconductor including the effect of anisotropic (momentum-dependent) impurity scattering is given. It is shown that for a strongly anisotropic scattering the reduction of the pair-breaking effect of
