High-Resolution Wideband Continuous-Time ΣΔModulators
2016The signal bandwidth of delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters has been greatly extended during the last few decades from a few tens of kHz bandwidth for audio to several hundred MHz to date for wireless applications. To enable a wideband and filterless RF radio front-end, high dynamic range and very high linearity of the wideband delta-sigma ...

High Resolution Digital Time Base
IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science, 1979A time base has been developed to supply general timing signals for the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, including beam bunch transfer triggers and beam detector triggers. The system consists of 8-bit counters and digital phase shifters of 8-bit resolution, under control of a data bus tied to the CESR control computer interface.

Radiation hardened high resolution timing generator
2015 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics and Electronics (PrimeAsia), 2015A high resolution timing generator is used as a building block for Time to Digital Converters (TDC) and clock alignment functions. The timing generator is implemented using digital Delay-Locked Loop (DLL). As DLLs are vulnerable to single event effects, the propagation of single-event transients (SETs) single event transients (SETs) is a significant ...

Time-Domain High-Resolution Radon Transform
PGCE 2008, 2008Multiple attenuation may be classified in two main methodologies; 1) Prediction of multiples from the data itself, and 2) utilizing moveout separation between multiples and primaries. A commonly used version of the prediction approach is the so called SRME technique, where surface related multiples are predicted from the data itself, and at least in ...

A high resolution time measurement system
[1991] Conference Record. IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference, 2002A high-resolution, less than 1-ps, time measurement system (TMS) has been developed using a time-to-voltage (T/V) conversion interpolation technique. In order to accomplish the high-resolution measurement, the authors developed two specific techniques. One is the generation of an accurate interpolation pulse from the measured signal that is realized by

High-Time-Resolution Nuclear Magnetic Resonance With Nitrogen-Vacancy Centers
IEEE Magnetics Letters, 2016We present a field-programmable gate array (FPGA)-based solution for high-time-resolution nanoscale nuclear magnetic resonance, with nitrogen-vacancy centers as a probe.

High resolution time-to-digital converters
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1992Abstract High resolution TDC chips use active delays as time reference and flip-flops as comparators, instead of switched current sources and ADCs as implemented in analog designs. As a result, a straight encoding is obtained, allowing time binning down to 50 ps, taking advantage of the high accuracy of IC processes.

High-Resolution Optical Imaging from Trajectory Time Distributions
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2006Trajectory time distribution optical microscopy (TTDOM), which records the mean off-times of single molecular fluorescent indicators that light up when they collide with vesicles, is extended to record fluorescence durations or on-times. TTDOM can distinguish shapes of objects that are smaller than the diffraction limited resolution.

High-resolution surface-plasmon resonance real-time imaging
Optics Letters, 2008We use surface-plasmon resonance in a silver film to obtain high-resolution real-time images of a transparent dielectric sample in contact with it. A new aspect of the work was the use of radially polarized illumination from a LED at 530 nm to obtain speckle-free images with high spatial resolution along all orientations.
