A High Voltage Sensitivity Direct-Current Amplifier

Physics, 1933
It is shown that a negative resistance of a definite value, introduced into the plate circuit of a thermionic valve theoretically allows the voltage sensitivity to become infinite. Practical application is made to construct high sensitivity direct-current amplifiers. The data show a mutual conductance of 30,000 microamp. per volt.

Invasion of high voltage direct current till 2014

2014 IEEE International Conference on Control Science and Systems Engineering, 2014
Electrical power system is an intricate network of transmission lines and its complexity is consistently increasing with induction of distribution generation (DG) which is nonlinear in nature. One of major problem with remotely generated electrical energy is of reliable transportation to ever increasing load center.

Design and simulation of a high-voltage direct-current source

Canadian Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 1994
This paper presents the design and simulation results of a 70 kV, 60 A, high-voltage direct-current source. The proposed solution consists of 96 three-phase bridges connected in series in a 36-pulse arrangement and fed by a cascade of three dry-type transformers.

Multi extreme learning machine approach for fault location in multi-terminal high-voltage direct current systems

Computers & electrical engineering, 2019
A method based on extreme learning machine (ELM) is suggested to locate faults in multi-terminal high-voltage direct current systems. S-transform and wavelet transform are used for extraction of the features used for the learning.
