Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Method for calculating corona inception voltage of ultra‐high‐voltage direct current transmission lines with frequency‐domain characteristics of corona current

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2017
Corona inception voltage is of great significance for the design of ultra‐high‐voltage direct current transmission lines. In this study, based on the change rule of frequency‐domain characteristics of corona current, a new method for calculating corona ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Harmonic current protection scheme for voltage source converter‐based high‐voltage direct current transmission system

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2014
Based on the inherent characteristic of the carrier‐based pulse‐width modulation converters, the response of the first carrier frequency harmonic (FCFH) current in the voltage source converter (VSC)‐based high‐voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system is analysed under different fault conditions in this paper.

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

Master‐slave control strategy of the cascaded multi‐terminal ultra‐high voltage direct current transmission system

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
In the case of dispersed load consumption, Ultra‐high Voltage Direct Current (UHVDC) system in cascaded connection mode can significantly reduce the cost by building DC lines between different ends, but the communication delay caused by it brings ...
