SOFFLFM: Super-resolution optical fluctuation Fourier light-field microscopy
Fourier light-field microscopy (FLFM) uses a microlens array (MLA) to segment the Fourier plane of the microscopic objective lens to generate multiple two-dimensional perspective views, thereby reconstructing the three-dimensional (3D) structure of the ...

The QCD phase diagram and statistics friendly distributions [PDF]
The preliminary STAR data for proton cumulants for central collisions at s=7.7GeV component proton multiplicity distribution. We show that this two-component distribution is statistics friendly in that factorial cumulants of surprisingly high orders may ...

Automatic Modulation Classification of Real Signals in AWGN Channel Based on Sixth-Order Cumulants [PDF]
Automatic modulation classification (AMC) represents an important integral part of modern communication systems. While novel AMC algorithms based on complex neural network structures showed significant performance improvements, in practical applications ...

Modelling of continuous low‐temperature emulsion co‐polymerization in 3D‐printed reactor
A kinetic model for the emulsion copolymerization of butyl acrylate/styrene at low temperatures is proposed and validated against experiments with a redox initiator system. The model was successfully transferred to a 3D‐printed tubular reactor and conversions of more than 80% and small particles sizes below 40 nm were observed.

Empirical estimation of realized higher-order (joint) cumulants and their practical issues [PDF]
As conventional realized third and fourth (co)moments estimated with sub-period returns are biased, Neuberger (2012) and Bae and Lee (2021) develop new unbiased realized (joint) cumulants using extended information.

Pion interferometry with higher-order cumulants
We have measured second- and third-order cumulants in UA1 data ($\bar pp$ collisions at 630 GeV/c). Rather than quoting numerical values for source parameters, we have used these in three checks to test the ``quantum statistics'' theory for consistency over these cumulants.

Non‐negative Gaussian estimation of variance components in random effects models
Abstract When used to estimate variance components (VCs), confidence intervals (CIs) can be truncated at zero, have a point estimate not in the quoted CI, be empty with positive probability, or be all‐inclusive. This is because they have conflicting dual roles, since they are considered to cover the parameter with a specified probability while also ...

In this work, silver nanoparticles encapsulated within quatsome membranes have shown to preserve their plasmonic properties for at least 165 days without aggregation. These hybrid nanostructures enable strong SERS enhancement of pyrene and Prodan by confining the molecules within a few nanometers from the silver surface.

On the Cumulants of the First Passage Time of the Inhomogeneous Geometric Brownian Motion
We consider the problem of the first passage time T of an inhomogeneous geometric Brownian motion through a constant threshold, for which only limited results are available in the literature.

Exact transmission moments in one-dimensional weak localization and single-parameter scaling
We obtain for the first time the expressions for the mean and the variance of the transmission coefficient for an Anderson chain in the weak localization regime, using exact expansions of the complex transmission- and reflection coefficients to fourth ...
