"Credit Derivatives and Financial Fragility" [PDF]
On September 15, the Federal Reserve convened 14 large credit derivatives-dealer banks to an unusual meeting (Beales 2005b). The last such meeting occurred on September 16, 1998, in secret. At that time, a major financial institution was melting down and

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Higher order approximations of stochastic rational expectations models
We describe algorithm to find higher order approximations of stochastic rational expectations models near the deterministic steady state. Using matrix representation of function derivatives instead of tensor representation we obtain simple expressions of

On Opial Type Inequalities Involving Higher Order Derivatives
In the present paper we establish some new integral inequalities of the Opial type involving functions and their higher order derivatives. The analysis used in the proofs is elementary and our results add a new range of inequalities of this type.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Structured Second- and Higher-Order Derivatives through Univariate Taylor Series
Second- and higher-order derivatives are required by applications in scientific computation, especially for optimization algorithms. The two complementary concepts of interpolating partial derivatives from univariate Taylor series and preaccumulating of &

Transnational policy communities and financial governance: the role of private actors in derivatives regulation [PDF]
The article starts from the premise that the traditionally public functions of regulation and supervision are changing in order to adequately deal with large financial institutions operating in increasingly transnational markets.

Higher order fractional derivatives
Based on the Liouville-Weyl definition of the fractional derivative, a new direct fractional generalization of higher order derivatives is presented. It is shown, that the Riesz and Feller derivatives are special cases of this approach.

We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...
