Higher order differential energy operators

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 1995
Instantaneous signal operators /spl Upsi//sub k/(x)=x/spl dot/x/sup (k-1)/-xx/sup (k)/ of integer orders k are proposed to measure the cross energy between a signal x and its derivatives. These higher order differential energy operators contain as a special case, for k=2, the Teager-Kaiser (1990) operator. When applied to (possibly modulated) sinusoids,

Ellipticity of Some Higher Order Conformally Invariant Differential Operators

Advances in Applied Clifford Algebras, 2022
The authors prove the ellipticity of higher-order conformally invariant differential operators for the higher spin spaces in the Euclidean space. They introduce the product formulas for these operators, by using the product formulas, the authors propose a method similar to the high spin Laplace operator to exploit the structure of the conformal Lie ...

IMAGES OF HIGHER-ORDER DIFFERENTIAL OPERATORS OF POLYNOMIAL ALGEBRAS

Bulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2017
We investigate images of higher-order differential operators of polynomial algebras over a field $k$. We show that, when $\operatorname{char}k>0$, the image of the set of differential operators $\{\unicode[STIX]{x1D709}_{i}-\unicode[STIX]{x1D70F}_{i}\mid i=1,2,\ldots ,n\}$ of the polynomial algebra $k[\unicode[STIX]{x1D709}_{1},\ldots ,\unicode[STIX]

A trace formula for higher order ordinary differential operators

Sbornik: Mathematics, 2021
Abstract We obtain a first-order trace formula for a higher order differential operator on a closed interval in the case where the perturbation operator is the operator of multiplication by a finite complex-valued charge. For operators of even orders

Hardy space estimates for higher order differential operators

Indiana University Mathematics Journal, 2001
The authors generalize a theorem by \textit{R. Coifman, P. L. Lions, Y. Meyer} and \textit{S. Semmes} [ J. Math. Pures Appl., IX. Sér. 72, 247--286 (1993; Zbl 0864.42009)]{} to higher-order differential operators. Moreover, they prove a duality inequality which is a particular case of the \(H^1\)-BMO duality.
