Fuzzy sets and toposes—Towards higher order fuzzy logic
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 1987A successful attempt to present in correct elementary category form some basic aspects of fuzzy set theory (especially in logical direction). Some problems of knowledge representation are discussed. The paper may be of interest also for non-specialists and particularly for practitioners in Expert Systems and Artificial Intelligence.

Elements of model theory in higher-order fuzzy logic
Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 2012For his fuzzy type theory FTT [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 149, No. 2, 235--273 (2005; Zbl 1068.03019)] the author develops some basic model-theoretic notions and proves some elementary results. The core topics are homomorphic images, submodels, elementary equivalence and elementary substructures.

This paper describes the application of fuzzy logic based artificial intelligence procedures to the development of a novel method for the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of induction motors. In the proposed scheme, higher order statistical (HOS) analyses are used as a pre-processing procedure applied to a machine vibration signal.

Links between Mathematical Morphology, Rough Sets, Fuzzy Logic and Higher Order Neural Networks
1996In this paper we present some remarks on dependence and similarity between morphological operations and other modern techniques of image treatment i.e. high-order neural networks, rough sets and fuzzy logic as well as its realization. Two basic morphological operations: erosion and dilation can be realized in many different ways including approaches ...
