Network Traffic Data Augmentation Using WGAN Model Guided by LLM

open access: yesSensors
The Internet of Things (IoT) continues to expand across critical infrastructures, enabling automation, efficiency, and data driven decision making; yet, reliable device identification from network traffic remains hampered by severe class imbalance that ...

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

The Role of Point-of-care Glucose Monitoring Devices in Initiating Treatment for Neonatal Hypoglycaemia: A Cross-sectional Study [PDF]

open access: yesIndian Journal of Neonatal Medicine and Research
Introduction: Detection and prompt management of hypoglycaemia among at-risk and symptomatic neonates is crucial to prevent neurodevelopmental morbidity. Laboratory-based Formal Random Blood Sugar (FRBS) is the gold standard for estimating Blood Glucose (

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

The expression profile and clinic significance of the SIX family in non-small cell lung cancer

open access: yesJournal of Hematology & Oncology, 2016
Background The SIX family homeobox genes have been demonstrated to be involved in the tumor initiation and progression, but their clinicopathological features and prognostic values in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) have not been well defined.

Fundamental groupoids of k-graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
k-graphs are higher-rank analogues of directed graphs which were first developed to provide combinatorial models for operator algebras of Cuntz-Krieger type.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

A Novel Hyper-Heuristic Algorithm with Soft and Hard Constraints for Causal Discovery Using a Linear Structural Equation Model

open access: yesEntropy
Artificial intelligence plays an indispensable role in improving productivity and promoting social development, and causal discovery is one of the extremely important research directions in this field. Acyclic directed graphs (DAGs) are the most commonly
