Presenting a relatively simpler method than the tensor method for calculating the diagonal generators of higher representations of Lie groups to calculate the quark ‎potentials in the thick centervortex model‎

open access: yesIranian Journal of Physics Research, 2021
One of the successful models in describing the quark phenomenon is the thick center vortex model. In this model, confinement is attributed to the group's non-trivial centers. The non-trivial centers of the gauge group are also the reason of the presence of vortices.

Measuring the Impact of Natural Hazards with Citizen Science: The Case of Flooded Area Estimation Using Twitter

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Twitter has significant potential as a source of Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI), as its content is updated at high frequency, with high availability thanks to dedicated interfaces.

Universal Racah matrices and adjoint knot polynomials: Arborescent knots

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
By now it is well established that the quantum dimensions of descendants of the adjoint representation can be described in a universal form, independent of a particular family of simple Lie algebras.

Influence of high-order terms in the solution generalizing the approach of M. Williams, taking into accounr the anisotropy of the material

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Естественнонаучная серия, 2023
The research is devoted to the study of the stress field at the crack tip in an anisotropic material with three mutually orthogonal axes of symmetry of the fourth order (with cubic symmetry). A plane case is considered when one of the axes of symmetry is

In-hospital Outcomes of Infective Endocarditis from 1978 to 2015: Analysis Through Machine-Learning Techniques

open access: yesCJC Open, 2022
Background: Early identification of patients with infective endocarditis (IE) at higher risk for in-hospital mortality is essential to guide management and improve prognosis.

Contractions of 2D 2nd Order Quantum Superintegrable Systems and the Askey Scheme for Hypergeometric Orthogonal Polynomials

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2013
We show explicitly that all 2nd order superintegrable systems in 2 dimensions are limiting cases of a single system: the generic 3-parameter potential on the 2-sphere, S9 in our listing.

Forecasting the Dialysis Burden in Japan: Validation‐Based Projections of Prevalence and Incidence Through 2050

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Extended Kalman Filter-Based 2D Pose Estimation for Omnidirectional Mecanum Robots via Sensor Fusion: A SO(2) Lie Group Formulation

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
This article presents a 2D pose estimation method for an omnidirectional mobile robot with Mecanum wheels, using an extended Kalman filter (EKF) formulated on the Lie group SO(2).

Fock representation of the renormalized higher powers of white noise and the Virasoro--Zamolodchikov--$w_{\infty} *$--Lie algebra

open access: yes, 2007
The identification of the $*$--Lie algebra of the renormalized higher powers of white noise (RHPWN) and the analytic continuation of the second quantized Virasoro--Zamolodchikov--$w_{\infty} *$--Lie algebra of conformal field theory and high-energy physics, was recently established in \cite{id} based on results obtained in [1] and [2].

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
