Higher-order cyclic cumulants for high order modulation classification
IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2003. MILCOM 2003., 2004In this paper we investigate automatic modulation classification (AMC) using homogeneous feature-vectors based on cyclic cumulants (CCs) of fourth-, sixth- and eight-orders, respectively, for QAM, PSK and ASK signals within a pattern recognition framework.

Higher-Order Correlations and Cumulants
2010Recent advances in electrophysiological and imaging techniques have highlighted the need for correlation measures that go beyond simple pairwise analyses. In this chapter, we discuss cumulant correlations as natural and intuitive higher-order generalizations of the covariance.

Supplementary Appendix To: Higher-Order Multi-Cumulant Factor Analysis
SSRN Electronic Journal, 2021In this supplementary appendix to the paper Lu et al. (2021) "Higher-order Multi- cumulant Factor Analysis", we provide a brief R tutorial for the proposed HFA method. The proposed HFA estimators are available in the open source software R in the package hofa.

Fifth-order cumulants based higher order coupling feature extraction algorithm
Proceedings 7th International Conference on Signal Processing, 2004. Proceedings. ICSP '04. 2004., 2005Quadratic frequency coupling feature radiated by actual nonlinear vibration system can be extracted using third-order cumulants (TOC). Cubic frequency coupling feature and pairing frequency coupling one may be extracted using fourth order cumulants (FOC). Much higher order frequency coupling feature extraction isn't studied now.

Analog circuit fault diagnosis using higher order cumulants
2009 9th International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments, 2009An approach to analog circuit fault diagnosis using higher order cumulants (HOC) is described in this paper. Our system used a harmonic signal to excite the circuit under test (CUT), and then the response was putted into a Butterworth filter bank. For each subband filter, the output sequence was analyzed by higher order cumulants. Skewness, a 1-D slice

Weak convergence using higher-order cumulants
Journal of Theoretical Probability, 1992Let \(c_ j(F)\) denote the \(j\)-th cumulant of the distribution function \(F\). The main result of the paper can be formulated as follows. Let \(\{F_ n\}\) be a sequence of distribution functions and let \(F\) be a distribution function which is specified by its higher-order cumulants (this notion is defined in the appropriate way, similar as in the ...

Improved Speech Enhancement Based on Higher Order Cumulants
2013 Ninth International Conference on Intelligent Information Hiding and Multimedia Signal Processing, 2013A new speech enhancement scheme based on higher order cumulants (HOC) is proposed. Under the condition of Gaussian noise, a method for estimating the probability of speech absence in each frequency bin of each frame is devised based on HOC. Further, a kind of modified Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) estimator based on HOC is proposed.

A bibliography of higher-order spectra and cumulants
IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 1994The interest in higher-order spectra and cumulants was renewed in the early 1980s due, in part, to the need to solve detection, estimation, and identification problems when the interfering noise source was non-Gaussian. The bibliography is a list of refereed journal papers.

Two player statistical game with higher order cumulants
Proceedings of the 2010 American Control Conference, 2010In statistical game, multiple players optimize the distributions of the objective functions through the cost cumulants. This paper extends the use of second, third, and fourth cumulants for stochastic Nash games. For the case of linear system with quadratic cost, the equilibrium solutions are determined.
