Adaptive Estimation for Weakly Dependent Functional Times Series
ABSTRACT We propose adaptive mean and autocovariance function estimators for stationary functional time series under đpâmâapproximability assumptions. These estimators are designed to adapt to the regularity of the curves and to accommodate both sparse and dense data designs.

Spectrum Sensing Based on Higher Order Cumulants and Kurtosis Statistics Tests in Cognitive Radio [PDF]
In this paper, new algorithms for spectrum sensing in cognitive radio based on higher order cumulants and kurtosis are proposed. The cumulants represent statistical signal processing based on pattern recognition for signals of different structure, and ...

Fiscal policy and economic activity: new causal evidence
Abstract Utilizing a quasiânatural experiment design, we identify an exogenous cut in local taxes accompanied by an equivalent reduction in local government spending, and we estimate the impact of these exogenous changes on income. We exploit a unique regional dataset that combines local income data with local voting outcomes on current expense tax ...

Guanidiniumâ and indoleâfunctionalized poly(glycidyl ether)s were developed as nonâviral gene delivery vectors with tunable hydrophilicâhydrophobic balance. All polymers formed stable DNA polyplexes, while moderate indole content yielded the highest transfection efficiency at low N/P ratios.

On moments of the derivative of CUE characteristic polynomials and the Riemann zeta function
Abstract We study the derivative of the characteristic polynomial of NĂN$N \times N$ Haarâdistributed unitary matrices. We obtain new explicit formulae for complexâvalued moments when the spectral variable is inside the unit disc, in the limit Nââ$N \rightarrow \infty$.

Structureâactivity relationship (SAR) optimization of bioâreducible ionizable lipids enables the development of highly effective lipid nanoparticle (LNP) mRNA vaccines. Lead LNPs show superior tolerability and antibody responses in rodents and primates, outperforming approved COVIDâ19 vaccine lipids.

Néel Tensor Torque in Polycrystalline Antiferromagnets
This work introduces a NĂ©el tensor torque based on a rankâtwo symmetric tensor capturing spin correlations in a polycrystalline antiferromagnet. It shows the NĂ©el tensor can be shaped and reshaped through the spinâorbit torque (SOT) technique, enabling fieldâfree SOT switching with a specific polarity of the adjacent ferromagnet. This discovery opens a

Porous Iridium Oxide Inverse Opal Catalysts Enable Efficient PEM Water Electrolysis
Porous iridiumâbased inverse opal (IrOxâIO) structures are introduced as highâperformance, unsupported PEMâWE anode catalysts. Their electrochemical behavior is analyzed through porosity/surface area tuning, voltage breakdown, and circuit modeling.
