Highly Active ZnO-ZrO2 Aerogels Integrated with H-ZSM-5 for Aromatics Synthesis from Carbon Dioxide

, 2020
Bifunctional catalysis coupling CO2 to methanol and methanol to hydrocarbons is a promising strategy for the direct hydrogenation of CO2 into high-value chemicals.

Highly active antimycobacterial derivatives of benzoxazine

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2010
New 3-(4-alkylphenyl)-4-thioxo-2H-1,3-benzoxazine-2(3H)-ones and 3-(4-alkylphenyl)-2H-1,3-benzoxazine-2,4(3H)-dithiones were synthesized. The compounds were tested for in vitro antimycobacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium avium and two strains of Mycobacterium kansasii.

Highly active multiple sclerosis: An update

Multiple Sclerosis and Related Disorders, 2019
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most prevalent chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS), affecting more than 2 million people worldwide. It is characterized by brain and spinal cord involvement. There are the relapsing remitting MS (RRMS), primary progressive MS (PPMS), and secondary progressive MS (SPMS) phenotypes.

Highly Active Pt/BN Catalysts for Propane Combustion: The Roles of Support and Reactant-Induced Evolution of Active Sites

ACS Catalysis, 2019
The Pt catalysts supported on hexagonal BN (Pt/BN) are highly active and stable for propane combustion, with the highest specific reaction rate of 92.3 μmol gPt–1 s–1 and turnover frequency of 0.037 s–1 obtained on a 0.2Pt/BN catalyst at 220 °C.

Highly Active Low Magnesium Hammerhead Ribozyme

The Journal of Biochemistry, 2009
Hammerhead (HH) ribozymes can be used for highly specific inhibition of gene expression through the degradation of target mRNA. In vitro experiments with minimal HH domains demonstrated that the efficiency of catalysis is highly dependent on concentration of magnesium ions. Optimal ion requirements for HH-catalysed RNA cleavage are far from these found

La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ/CeO2 Heterostructured Composite Nanofibers as a Highly Active and Robust Cathode Catalyst for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2019
The lack of highly active and robust catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) at the intermediate temperatures significantly hinders the commercialization of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).

Highly Reliable Flexible Active Optical Links

IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2010
We present a process to embed commercially available optical material layers into a flexible foil. Patterning of the embedded layers results in highly transparent low loss flexible waveguides. Bending of the foil down to a bending radius of 5 mm causes no additional optical propagation losses.

ADHERENCE TO HIGHLY ACTIVE ANTIRETROVIRAL THERAPY

Nursing Clinics of North America, 1999
Advances in scientific understanding of and pharmacologic therapies for HIV infection have significantly increased the potential benefits of medical regimens. Patients adherence to these regimens is an essential antecedent to therapeutic effectiveness. Nursing interventions to improve adherence target the patient, the clinician, and the regimen.
