Method for finding highly dispersive optical solitons of nonlinear differential equations
Optik, 2020Abstract A method for finding solitary wave solutions to nonlinear differential equations is presented. A generalization for the logistic function to obtain a solitary wave solution is introduced. Properties of this basic function are discussed.

Highly dispersive optical solitons of the generalized nonlinear eighth-order Schrödinger equation
Optik, 2020Abstract The generalized nonlinear eighth-order Schrodinger equation with third, fifth, seventh and ninth power of nonlinearity is studied. This equation can be used for description of the pulse propagation in optical fiber. It is demonstrated that this equation has highly dispersive optical solitons which are presented in the analytical form.

Highly dispersive optical solitons using Kudryashov's method
Optik, 2019Abstract This work is about highly dispersive optical solitons with Kerr law, quadratic-cubic law and non-local nonlinearities. The Kudryashov's method implemented in this paper to find the unique optical closed form of solutions. The method under consideration is consistent, effectual and can be used to establish new exact solitons of different ...

Conservation laws for highly dispersive optical solitons
Optik, 2019Abstract This paper establishes conservation laws, by Lie symmetry analysis, for highly dispersive optical solitons that have been studied with four nonlinear forms. Three conserved quantities reported are power, linear momentum and the Hamiltonian. These are recovered from soliton solutions established earlier.

Highly dispersive optical solitons with undetermined coefficients
Optik, 2019Abstract This work is about highly dispersive optical solitons with Kerr and power law nonlinearity. Bright, dark and singular solitons are obtained from undetermined coefficients. This method proves that highly dispersive optical solitons are obtainable only with inter-modal and group velocity dispersions for both nonlinear forms.

Highly-chirped dissipative solitons in anomalous-dispersion fiber lasers
2008 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2008A new modelocking regime governed by the Ginzburg-Landau equation is demonstrated in an anomalous dispersion fiber laser. Output pulses are long, flat-topped, and highly-down-chirped, with energies above 150 nJ and repetition rates below 300 kHz.

Extended path-averaged soliton regime in highly dispersive fibers
Optics Letters, 1997It is shown that solitons can survive the large temporal broadening induced by a propagation over many dispersion lengths. The propagation requires large excess power and specific conditions of the dispersion map.
