Engineering highways for excitons

Joule, 2021
Summary The distance that excitons can travel is a key parameter for organic photovoltaic materials. In the August issue of Science Advances, Sneyd and colleagues report a breakthrough in increasing exciton diffusion length to 300 nm by using highly ordered nanofibers. This approach can enable simpler and more stable solar cells.

A SYSTEMS ENGINEERING APPROACH TO HIGHWAY DESIGN

INCOSE International Symposium, 1994
AbstractThis paper explores some of the similarities between the approaches that civil engineers take to design highways and that systems engineers take to solve complex system development problems. The process of developing a highway design can be directly correlated to the system development life cycle used in systems engineering.

Highway and Traffic Engineering

1992
This chapter is very wide ranging in its scope and it is therefore necessary to deal with some aspects less rigorously than others, but in these cases the reader will be referred to other sources for more detailed information. However, within the limitations of space available, the subject has been dealt with quite extensively and is supported by ...
