Analyses of the defects in highway tunnels in China

Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology, 2021
Abstract The number and length of highways in China far exceed those in other countries. Therefore, to better understand the defects that have occurred in Chinese highways that are currently in service, we collected data on the defects in 90 such tunnels. Using these data, we conducted a systematic study on the causes of such defects.

Carbon Monoxide Control in a High Highway Tunnel

Archives of Environmental Health: An International Journal, 1967
A 1.6-mile-long, 2-mile-high vehicular tunnel is planned for construction at Straight Creek, in the Rocky Mountains west of Denver. Both elevation and carbon monoxide in the tunnel will tax the oxygen-carrying capacity of blood of tunnel employees and individuals traveling through the tunnel. Based on present information, it is recommended that: carbon

Optimization on Highway Tunnel Structure

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
For the tunnel section in symmetric structure, it can be analyzed only with half of the tunnel structure. Take the left side of the tunnel which is made up of five arcs tangent with adjacent ones. The method of intelligent direct back analysis based on evolution search is drawing more and more attention.
