Hilbert-Huang Spectral Analysis of Natural Wind Speed

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
The basic concepts and theories of Hilbert-Huang-Transformation (HHT) for signal analysis is introduced and its implementation procedure is programmed. For the collected three orthogonal directions wind speed signals at a measuring point at Sutong Bridge site, Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) is conducted to extract the Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs)

The Hilbert-Huang Spectral Analysis Method Applied to VIV

Volume 4: Terry Jones Pipeline Technology; Ocean Space Utilization; CFD and VIV Symposium, 2006
Vortex-Induced Vibration (VIV) is a highly nonlinear dynamic phenomenon. Usual spectral analysis methods rely on the hypotheses of linear and stationary dynamics. A new method envisaged to treat nonlinear and non-stationary signals was presented by Huang et al.

MULTIVARIATE SPECTRAL ANALYSIS USING HILBERT WAVELET PAIRS

International Journal of Wavelets, Multiresolution and Information Processing, 2004
We investigate the use of Hilbert wavelet pairs (HWPs) in the non-decimated discrete wavelet transform for the time-varying spectral analysis of multivariate time series. HWPs consist of two high-pass and two low-pass compactly supported filters, such that one high-pass filter is the Hilbert transform (approximately) of the other.

Magnitude Variation of Arterial Blood Pressure Measured Using Holo-Hilbert Spectral Analysis

Advances in Data Science and Adaptive Analysis, 2018
Arterial blood pressure (ABP) is one of the most crucial cardiovascular indicators in clinical practice. Hilbert–Huang transform (HHT) has been performed on ABP signals and resulted in ABP variability. The instantaneous P-wave interval variation had been

Spectral Analysis in Hilbert Space

1978
From the last result of the preceding chapter, a good deal of nontrivial information can be obtained about self-adjoint operators on Hilbert space, incomparably more than is available for operators in Banach spaces, other than those of special compactness properties, or for arbitrary (non-self-adjoint) operators on Hilbert space.

Spectral analysis of non-compact symmetrizable operators on Hilbert spaces

Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2014
This paper revisits and complement in different directions the classical work by W. T. Reid on symmetrizable completely continuous transformations in Hilbert spaces and a more recent paper by one of the authors. More precisely, we deal with spectral properties of % non-compact operators G on a complex Hilbert space H such that SG is self-adjoint where ...

A novel Riemann–Hilbert approach via t-part spectral analysis for a physically significant nonlocal integrable nonlinear Schrödinger equation

Nonlinearity, 2023
In this paper, a novel Riemann–Hilbert (RH) approach is reported for a physically significant nonlocal integrable nonlinear Schrödinger equation. In this RH approach, the spectral analysis is performed from the t-part of the Lax pair rather than the x ...

Spectral Analysis in Rigged Hilbert Spaces

2015
In Quantum Physics, in particular in the framework of Dirac’s bra and ket formulation, the existence and completeness of “generalized eigenfunctions” plays a prominent role. This chapter explains the most important mathematical aspects on which this formalism is based, the so called “nuclear spectral theorem.” Naturally some preparations are needed. We

Feasibility of ECE Measurements Using Hilbert-Transform Spectral Analysis

Fusion Science & Technology, 2014
Electron cyclotron emission (ECE) from hot tokamak plasmas is recognized nowadays as a very informative diagnostic of main plasma parameters.
