The Benjamin–Ono Equation in the Zero‐Dispersion Limit for Rational Initial Data: Generation of Dispersive Shock Waves

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The leading‐order asymptotic behavior of the solution of the Cauchy initial‐value problem for the Benjamin–Ono equation in L2(R)$L^2(\mathbb {R})$ is obtained explicitly for generic rational initial data u0$u_0$. An explicit asymptotic wave profile uZD(t,x;ε)$u^\mathrm{ZD}(t,x;\epsilon)$ is given, in terms of the branches of the multivalued ...

On the Hilbert $2$-class field tower of some abelian $2$-extensions over the field of rational numbers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
summary:It is well known by results of Golod and Shafarevich that the Hilbert $2$-class field tower of any real quadratic number field, in which the discriminant is not a sum of two squares and divisible by eight primes, is infinite.

On 3-dimensional foliated dynamical systems and Hilbert type reciprocity law

open access: yes, 2021
We introduce a geometric analog of the Hilbert symbol and show a Hilbert type reciprocity law for a 3-dimensional foliated dynamical system (FDS3 for short). This answers the question posed by Deninger.

Skew-symmetric and essentially unitary operators via Berezin symbols

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
We characterize skew-symmetric operators on a reproducing kernel Hilbert space in terms of their Berezin symbols. The solution of some operator equations with skew-symmetric operators is studied in terms of Berezin symbols.

Stability of Viscous Three‐Dimensional Stratified Couette Flow via Dispersion and Mixing

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article explores the stability of stratified Couette flow in the viscous 3d$3d$ Boussinesq equations. In this system, mixing effects arise from the shearing background, and gravity acts as a restoring force leading to dispersive internal gravity waves.

Ecological Momentary Interventions in the Management of Eating Disorders and Obesity: A Systematic Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This systematic review evaluated the feasibility, efficacy, adherence, and methodological quality of ecological momentary intervention (EMI)–based treatments for individuals with diagnosed eating disorders (EDs) and/or obesity. Method Eight electronic databases were systematically searched from inception to January 2026.

Hilbert reciprocity using K-theory localization

open access: yes, 2023
Usually the boundary map in K-theory localization only gives the tame symbol at $K_{2}$. It sees the tamely ramified part of the Hilbert symbol, but no wild ramification. Gillet has shown how to prove Weil reciprocity using such boundary maps.

A Method for Weight Multiplicity Computation Based on Berezin Quantization

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2009
Let G be a compact semisimple Lie group and T be a maximal torus of G. We describe a method for weight multiplicity computation in unitary irreducible representations of G, based on the theory of Berezin quantization on G/T.

Controlled G-Frames and Their G-Multipliers in Hilbert spaces

open access: yesAnalele Stiintifice ale Universitatii Ovidius Constanta: Seria Matematica, 2013
Multipliers have been recently introduced by P. Balazs as operators for Bessel sequences and frames in Hilbert spaces. These are opera- tors that combine (frame-like) analysis, a multiplication with a fixed sequence ( called the symbol) and synthesis ...

Loop Quantum Photonic Chip for Coherent Multi‐Time‐Step Evolution

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A loop quantum photonic chip (Loop‐QPC) enabling efficient multi‐step quantum simulation in a single run is demonstrated. Combining recirculating loops with cycle‐or‐measure control, Loop‐QPC eliminates repeated reprogramming and reduces loss. Experimental demonstration of three‐step unitary evolution confirms high‐fidelity operation, showcasing the ...
