Matrix Tropism Influences Endometriotic Cell Attachment Patterns

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of substrate stiffness and multicellular coculture on endometriotic cell attachment to extracellular matrix‐laden microarrayed islands is reported. This model investigates early endometriotic cell attachment, aiming to capture “lesion initiation events”.

Microfracture in Hip Arthroscopy. Keep It Simple!

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2019
Despite all the advances in hip arthroscopy, microfracture is still the workhorse for treating focal and full-thickness cartilage lesions. The success of this treatment is owed to its reliability and simplicity.

Z‐Scheme Water Splitting Systems Based on Solid‐State Electron Conductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the latest advances in Z‐scheme overall water splitting (OWS) systems for solar hydrogen production. These systems consist of suspended or immobilized hydrogen evolution photocatalysts (HEPs) and oxygen evolution photocatalysts (OEPs).

Fresh Femoral Head Osteochondral Allograft Transplantation for Treating Osteochondritis Dissecans of the Femoral Head

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2018
Treatment options for the management of osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) lesions of the femoral head are limited. Although arthroscopic surgery of the hip can treat a variety of intra- and extra-articular pathologies, an OCD lesion located at the superior

Increased early mortality and morbidity after total hip arthroplasty in patients with socioeconomic disadvantage: a report from the Swedish Hip Arthroplasty Register

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica, 2019
Background and purpose — Socioeconomic status is associated with the outcome of major surgery. We investigated the association of socioeconomic status with the risk of early mortality and readmissions after primary total hip arthroplasty (THA).

Polaronic and Electrochemical Signatures in Group IVB (Ti, Zr, Hf) Oxides: Unified SKP–DFT Insights for Tunable Transport in Energy and Electronic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Charge carrier concentration and mobility in TiO2, ZrO2, and HfO2 powder films are experimentally mapped as a function of temperature. The results uncover polaron‐mediated transport regimes and field‐activated conduction, enabling the design of oxide‐based electronic and energy devices with thermally tunable functionality.

Posterolateral Acetabuloplasty and Distal Femoral Neckplasty, Labral Repair, and Capsular Plication for Hip Reverse Contre-Coupe Lesion

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, 2017
This article describes the arthroscopic approach and management of a “reverse contre-coup” injury to the hip labrum. The injury occurs in the setting of posterolateral acetabular rim over-coverage impinging on the distal femoral neck in extension causing

Refocusing and Redefining Hip Hop: An Analysis of Lecrae\u27s Contribution to Hip Hop [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Hip Hop scholarship has overlooked and separated emcees who publicly identify themselves as Christians who exist to make God famous. This deficiency contributes to an inadequate understanding of Hip Hop and places Hip Hop in a dangerous position of ...

Kidney Stone Dissolution By Tetherless, Enzyme‐Loaded, Soft Magnetic Miniature Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Wireless magnetic robots are developed for kidney stone dissolution. The robots navigate through a urinary tract model from bladder and ureter to renal pelvis with the help of external magnetic fields. The filaments are loaded with urease enzyme which catalyzes urea to carbon dioxide and ammonia, thereby increasing pH to basic regime and supporting ...
