Childbirth Acquired Perineal Trauma (CHAPTER) study: A cohort study investigating health outcomes after childbirth‐related perineal trauma

Childbirth‐related perineal trauma was associated with an increased risk of physical and psychological morbidity including anxiety, depression, urinary incontinence, dyspareunia, pain, vaginal discharge, and pelvic organ prolapse, with some effects persisting beyond 5 years postpartum.
