A radiographic study of hip-joint alignment after prosthetic hip arthoplasty. [PDF]
Postoperative hip alignment was studied on radiographs in cases of total hip arthroplasty (THA) and of Bipolar Head Prosthesis(BHP), both with MX-1. Postoperative anteroposterior-view radiographs of hip joints of patients with a normal hip joint on the ...

The influence of push-off timing in a robotic ankle-foot prosthesis on the energetics and mechanics of walking [PDF]
Background: Robotic ankle-foot prostheses that provide net positive push-off work can reduce the metabolic rate of walking for individuals with amputation, but benefits might be sensitive to push-off timing.

A New Cemented Hip Prosthesis Concept [PDF]
The orthopedic market offers more than 200 hundred different femoral stems, some with scientific published results. The influence of stem geometry relatively to stress distribution on the cement mantle has been addressed by some authors. Stem geometry influences the fatigue mechanism process at the stem-cement interface and may cause aseptic loosening.

Comparison of External Rotation Torque of Short External Rotator Muscles in Hip Flexion Position
Preserving the short external rotator muscles of the hip helps prevent dislocation after total hip arthroplasty, but it's unclear which muscles are most critical. This study quantified the external rotation torque in cadaveric hips and found that the obturator externus provides the highest torque during deep hip flexion, where dislocations often occur.
