Implantation technique of His bundle pacing
Herzschrittmachertherapie + Elektrophysiologie, 2020His bundle pacing (HBP) preserves physiological ventricular synchrony, with clinical benefits particularly evident when a high percentage of ventricular pacing is required. First experiences with standard leads and manually shaped stylets produced the impression that HBP is highly complex and time-consuming.

His Bundle Pacing for Cardiac Resynchronization
Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2018Cardiac resynchronization therapy with left ventricular coronary sinus or epicardial pacing is an established therapy for patients with systolic heart failure and intraventricular conduction system delay, particularly left bundle branch block.

Long term performance and safety of His bundle pacing: A multicenter experience
Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, 2019Several single‐center short‐term studies have demonstrated the feasibility, safety, and positive clinical outcomes of permanent His bundle pacing (HBP). We performed a retrospective study to evaluate long‐term technical and safety performances of HBP in ...

His Bundle Pacing: Techniques and Outcomes
Current Cardiology Reports, 2016Traditional right ventricular pacing prolongs the electrical and mechanical activation of the heart, which reduces the pump function, and in selected patients may lead to pacing-induced heart failure. Pacing the His bundle preserves the normal or near-normal activation pattern of the ventricles that prevents the detrimental effects of right ventricular

Subthreshold Stimulation for His Bundle Pacing
Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2018One of the drawbacks of permanent His bundle pacing has been the relatively high pacing thresholds. The present experimental study was proposed to address this issue. In this article the authors present preliminary evidence that His bundle pacing can be achieved with subthreshold stimulation, thereby providing for increased battery life and ...
