Learning Curve for Left Bundle Branch Area Pacing – the Experience of a Romanian Academic Center [PDF]
Introduction: There is an increasing interest in the past decade for more physiological pacing strategies due to detrimental long-term right ventricular pacing.

Novel pacing technologies, such as His bundle pacing (HBP) and left bundle branch area pacing (LBBaP), have emerged to maintain physiological ventricular activation. We investigated the outcomes of LBBP with HBP for patients requiring a de novo permanent

We define a turning of a rank-$2k$ vector bundle $E \to B$ to be a homotopy of bundle automorphisms $\psi_t$ from $\mathbb{Id}_E$, the identity of $E$, to $-\mathbb{Id}_E$, minus the identity, and call a pair $(E, \psi_t)$ a turned bundle. We investigate when vector bundles admit turnings and develop the theory of turnings and their obstructions.

BACKGROUND His bundle pacing (HBP) and left bundle branch pacing (LBBP) both provide physiologic pacing which maintain left ventricular synchrony. They both improve heart failure (HF) symptoms in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients.

His bundle pacing: a new look at the method
His bundle pacing (HBP) implements physiological impulse propagation along the cardiac conduction system and can serve as an analogue of both right ventricular and biventricular pacing.

Against negative splitting: the case for alternative pacing strategies for elite marathon athletes in official events [PDF]
Objectives: Negative splitting (i.e., finishing the race faster) is a tactic commonly employed by elite marathon athletes, even though research supporting the strategy is scarce. The presence of pacers allows the main runner to run behind a formation, preserving energy.

Excessive prolongation of PR interval impairs coupling of atrio‐ventricular (AV) contraction, which reduces left ventricular pre‐load and stroke volume, and worsens symptoms.
