Histopathological Patterns of Cutaneous and Mucocutaneous Leishmaniasis Due to L. aethiopica [PDF]

open access: yesDermatology Research and Practice
Conclusion: In our study, the histopathological patterns of the CL caused by L. aethiopica were shown to have a dermal change that was characterized by a domination of diffused inflammatory cell infiltrate.

Cerebral CD1a positive Rosai–Dorfman disease with coexistent granulomatous angiitis: A case report

open access: yesGlioma, 2022
Rosai–Dorfman disease (RDD) is a nonneoplastic histiocytic proliferation. RDD is CD1a negative as opposed to Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH). The lesion was positive for CD1a immunohistochemistry in our RDD patient, suggesting an overlap with LCH. In

A case of patch granuloma annulare with CD68‐negative, CD163‐positive M2 macrophages infiltration in an interstitial pattern

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Immunology and Allergy, Volume 5, Issue 6, Page 236-237, December 2022., 2022
Patch granuloma annulare is a rare type of granuloma annulare. Histopathologically, patch granuloma annulare shows interstitial infiltration of histiocytes. In our case, immunohistochemical analyses demonstrated CD68‐negative, CD163‐positive M2 macrophages infiltration in an interstitial pattern.

Molecular testing of soft tissue tumors

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, Volume 51, Issue 1, Page 12-25, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Background The diagnosis of soft tissue tumors is challenging, especially when the evaluable material procured is limited. As a result, diagnostic ancillary testing is frequently needed. Moreover, there is a trend in soft tissue pathology toward increasing use of molecular results for tumor classification and prognostication. Hence, diagnosing

NR1H3 (LXRα) is associated with pro‐inflammatory macrophages, predicts survival and suggests potential therapeutic rationales in diffuse large b‐cell lymphoma

open access: yesHematological Oncology, Volume 40, Issue 5, Page 864-875, December 2022., 2022
Abstract The role of macrophages (Mo) and their prognostic impact in diffuse large B‐cell lymphomas (DLBCL) remain controversial. By regulating the lipid metabolism, Liver‐X‐Receptors (LXRs) control Mo polarization/inflammatory response, and their pharmacological modulation is under clinical investigation to treat human cancers, including lymphomas ...
