The wide spectrum of neoplastic and nonneoplastic diseases characterized by histiocytic proliferation was reflected in the cases submitted to the 2003 Society for Hematopathology and the European Association for Haematopathology Workshop.

Uveal Myogenic, Fibro-histiocytic, and Histiocytic Tumors

Tumors with myogenic, fibro-histiocytic, or histiocytic differentiation may rarely involve the uveal tract. Although mostly benign in nature, they may resemble malignant lesions such as melanoma and pose considerable difficulties in diagnosis without recourse to biopsy.
