Exploring visual language models as a powerful tool in the diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Ewing's sarcoma (ES), characterized by a high density of small round blue cells without structural organization, presents a significant health concern, particularly among adolescents aged 10 to 19. Artificial intelligence-based systems for automated analysis of histopathological images are promising to contribute to an accurate diagnosis of ES. In this

Repair of endogenous DNA base lesions modulate lifespan in mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The accumulation of DNA damage is thought to contribute to the physiological decay associated with the aging process. Here, we report the results of a large-scale study examining longevity in various mouse models defective in the repair of DNA alkylation

Histiocytic Sarcoma: Identification of Its Histiocytic Origin Using Immunohistochemistry

open access: yesInternal Medicine, 2008
We describe a 56-year-old woman with histiocytic sarcoma involving the bone marrow. The neoplastic cells proliferated diffusely and showed occasional erythrophagocytosis. Immunohistochemically, the neoplastic cells were positive for CD68, lysozyme, CD4 and CD163, but negative for B- and T-cell markers, S100 protein and epithelial markers.

Deciphering regulation in eukaryotic cell: from sequence to function [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
A transversal topic of my research has been the development and application of computational methods for DNA sequence analysis. The methods I have been developing aim at improving our understanding of the regulation processes happening in normal and cancer cells. This topic connects together the projects presented in this thesis.
