HMM Based Action Recognition with Projection Histogram Features [PDF]
Hidden Markov Models (HMM) have been widely used for action recognition, since they allow to easily model the temporal evolution of a single or a set of numeric features extracted from the data. The selection of the feature set and the related emission probability function are the key issues to be defined.

Histograms of sequences: a novel representation for human interaction recognition
This study presents a novel representation based on hierarchical histogram of local feature sequences for human interaction recognition. The authors’ method basically combines the power of discriminative sequence mining and histogram representation for ...

Abstract Purpose The study evaluates rapid linear accelerator (Linac) single isocenter stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) with Hyperarc for large target numbers. We compared to Gamma Knife (GK), which suffers from long treatment times and investigated causes of differences. Methods Linac SRS and GK treatment plans for patients receiving 18 Gy to the gross

Abstract Introduction Many artificial intelligence (AI) solutions have been proposed to enhance the radiotherapy (RT) workflow, but limited applications have been implemented to date, suggesting an implementation gap. One contributing factor to this gap is a misalignment between AI systems and their users.

PCANet-II: When PCANet Meets the Second Order Pooling [PDF]
PCANet, as one noticeable shallow network, employs the histogram representation for feature pooling. However, there are three main problems about this kind of pooling method. First, the histogram-based pooling method binarizes the feature maps and leads to inevitable discriminative information loss.

Abstract Purpose This study quantitatively evaluates bladder changes and their dosimetric impact during the on‐couch adaptive process on a commercial CBCT‐based online adaptive radiotherapy (CT‐gART) platform. Methods Data from 183 fractions of ten patients receiving online ART for pelvic cancers were analyzed retrospectively.
