Improved histogram-based anomaly detector with the extended principal component features [PDF]
In this era of big data, databases are growing rapidly in terms of the number of records. Fast automatic detection of anomalous records in these massive databases is a challenging task. Traditional distance based anomaly detectors are not applicable in these massive datasets.

Co-occurrence histogram based ensemble of classifiers for classification of cervical cancer cells
To explore the potential of conventional image processing techniques in the classification of cervical cancer cells, in this work, a co-occurrence histogram method was employed for image feature extraction and an ensemble classifier was developed by ...

Abstract Purpose Breast cancer is a neoplastic disease with high prevalence among women. Radiotherapy is one of the principal treatment modalities for this disease, but it poses significant challenges. This study aimed to compare and evaluate the technical and dosimetric performance of conventional C‐arm linac systems and a new design, Halcyon, in the ...

Abstract Background The use of deep learning‐based auto‐contouring algorithms in various treatment planning services is increasingly common. There is a notable deficit of commercially or publicly available models trained on large or diverse datasets containing high‐dose‐rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatment scans, leading to poor performance on images ...

Multi-feature Combination Track-to-track Association Based on Histogram Statistics Feature
Existing track-to-track association methods are mainly based on statistics and fuzzy mathematics. However, most methods based on statistics depend on thresholds, and parameters based on fuzzy mathematics are complex to set.

Abstract Purpose Volumetric‐modulated arc therapy (VMAT) treatment planning allows a compromise between a sufficient coverage of the planning target volume (PTV) and a simultaneous sparing of organs‐at‐risk (OARs). Particularly in the case of lung tumors, deciding whether it is possible or worth spending more time on further improvements of a treatment
