Synthetic Active Liquid Crystals Powered by Acoustic Waves

Advanced Materials, EarlyView.
A fully synthetic active liquid crystal, energized by an acoustic field, is presented. This system exhibits active nematic behavior, tunable topological defect dynamics, and persistent hydrodynamic vortices at high activity levels. The material maintains stable properties while enabling precise activity control in a wide range.

Mechanochromic, Low‐Cost, and Structurally Colored Displays Using Biodegradable Hydroxypropyl Cellulose

Mechanochromic hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) integrated with microfluidic devices creates scalable, eco‐friendly reflective color displays. Electrochemical Anodization for the Fabrication of Wafer‐Scale p‐Type Organic Permeable Base Transistors Arrays with MHz Operation

This work presents a wafer‐scale fabrication method for high‐performance p‐type organic permeable base transistors (OPBTs) using electrochemical anodization. The anodized OPBTs achieve high on‐current density, low leakage, MHz‐range operation, and exceptional current gain.
