Ag‐Cu Nanoarchitecture for Enhanced LSPR Absorption: the Role of Surface Roughness and near‐field Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study investigates the plasmonic properties and biosensing capabilities of a nanocomposite incorporating Cu and Ag nanoparticles for detecting anti‐DbpA antibodies associated with Lyme disease. The enhanced LSPR response is explained through FDTD simulations of Cu–Ag near‐field interactions and increased surface roughness.

Square texton histogram features for image retrieval

Multimedia Tools and Applications, 2018
A new image feature descriptor for content-based image retrieval is proposed, named as Square Texton Histogram (STH). STH is derived based on the correlation between texture orientation and color information. Based on julesz’s texton theory ‘Square Texton’ templates are proposed for Image texture analysis.

Histogram Features Extraction for Edge Detection Approach

2022 5th International Conference on Engineering Technology and its Applications (IICETA), 2022
An edge is where an image’s intensity values rapidly change from low to high-intensity values or vice versa. The edge itself is at the midpoint of this change. Edge detection remains a challenge in computer vision despite recent advances.

Effect of Histogram Equalization in Face Detection Using Spatial Histogram Features [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Convergence Information Technology, 2011
Many information of an object can simultaneously be conserved by histogram based features. Because of the different intensities of pixels and different lighting conditions in an image, histograms which are employed for extracting features are better to be first equalized.
