CRUSTAL THICKNESS VARIATIONS AND SEISMICITY OF NORTHWESTERN SOUTH AMERICA
Any uncompensated mass of the northern Andes Mountains is presumably under pressure to adjust within the Earth to its ideal state of isostatic equilibrium. Isostasy is the ideal state that any<br />uncompensated mass seeks to achieve in time. These

New zircon ages reveal that lacustrine sedimentation initiated in the Late Miocene (Messinian), revising earlier Pliocene age assignments. The study results support the interpretation of the northern BFSZ as a broad left‐lateral transtensional shear zone rather than a discrete sinistral fault or simple extensional graben array.

ABSTRACT The Flourishing Scale (FS) scores have demonstrated acceptable psychometric properties in general adult populations, but no previous research has validated its use among natural disaster survivors. This study examined the reliability, validity, and measurement invariance of a Mexican dialect Spanish translation of the FS in 289 Mexican ...

Spatiotemporal prediction of gas extraction-induced seismicity is a key challenge in regional seismic risk management, hindered by heterogeneous spatial coupling among reservoir blocks and extreme class imbalance in seismicity records.

Flexible Seismicity Modeling With Neural Modulated Renewal Processes
Neural point processes (NPPs) have recently been applied to seismicity modeling, but their theoretical connections to classical point processes models remain elusive.
