The Minimum Age of Criminal Responsibility Internationally—History, Systems and the Future

open access: yesCriminal Behaviour and Mental Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background In most countries, a criminal conviction requires evidence that the individual committed the act and that they had the mental capacity to understand what they were doing and that it was wrong. Youth, as an indicator of brain development, is one factor affecting criminal capacity.

Self‐Management Interventions in Young Adults (18–30 Years) With Type 1 Diabetes, Sickle Cell Disease, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease: A Scoping Review

open access: yesChronic Diseases and Translational Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Fluctuating chronic conditions (FCC) in young adults aged 18–30 years, such as type 1 diabetes (T1D), sickle cell disease (SCD), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), present unique self‐management challenges due to unpredictable symptom patterns that disrupt daily life.

Rational Design of Inverted F‐Type Heterojunctions for Photocatalytic Emerging Contaminant Degradation

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The inverted F‐type ZnWO4/In2S3 heterojunction enables efficient charge separation and retention of strong oxidative capability through interfacial electric field regulation, leading to non‐toxic degradation of contaminants for sustainable water treatment.

Induced‐Fit Recognition by a Calixarene–Pyrene Conjugate for Single‐ and Dual‐Wavelength Fluorescence Sensing in Water

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A sulfonatocalix[4]arene–pyrene conjugate functions as a fluorescence chemosensor for the optical detection of biorelevant analytes in water. Its photoinduced electron transfer (PET) response is triggered by an induced‐fit recognition mechanism. Noncovalent assembly with an additional dye affords dual‐color ratiometric signaling via competitive PET ...
