Almost strongly star-Menger and related properties

open access: yesApplied General Topology
In this paper we introduce the almost strongly star-Menger property and we provide some results and relationships with another known properties in literature.

Double P-Tree: A Distributed Architecture for Large-Scale Video-on-Demand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In order to ensure a more widespread implementation of video-ondemand (VoD) services, it is essential that the design of cost-effective largescale VoD (LVoD) architectures be able to support hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. The main keys for

Relative Compactness for Hyperspaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
The present paper contains results characterizing relatively compact subsets of the space of the closed subsets of a metrizable space, equipped with various hypertopologies.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Baire Spaces and Hyperspace Topologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Sufficient conditions for abstract (proximal) hit-and-miss hyperspace topologies and the Wisjman hyperspace topology, respectively are given to be Baire spaces, thus extending results of [MC],[B1],[C].

Cinnamic‐Hydroxamic‐Acid Derivatives Exhibit Antibiotic, Anti‐Biofilm, and Supercoiling Relaxation Properties by Targeting Bacterial Nucleoid‐Associated Protein HU

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cinnamic‐hydroxamic‐acid derivatives (CHADs) are identified as novel inhibitors of the bacterial nucleoid‐associated protein HU, exhibiting potent antibacterial, anti‐biofilm (both inhibition and eradication), and DNA relaxation (anti‐supercoiling) activities. Moreover, CHADs demonstrate strong synergistic effects with multiple antibiotics.

Targeting the Membrane‐Embedded Rhomboid Protease GlpG: A Multimodal Strategy for Inhibitor Discovery and Mechanistic Insight

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Created in BioRender. Bohg, C. (2026) https://BioRender.Com/ vi9hi4f. Rhomboid proteases are a mechanistically unique and evolutionarily conserved protein family. Despite their pharmacological relevance, the development of selective inhibitors has lagged behind that of soluble proteases.

On hit-and-miss hyperspace topologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
summary:The Vietoris topology and Fell topologies on the closed subsets of a Hausdorff uniform space are prototypes for hit-and-miss hyperspace topologies, having as a subbase all closed sets that hit a variable open set, plus all closed sets that miss (=

Mammalian Proteome Profiling Reveals Readers and Antireaders of Strand‐Symmetric and ‐Asymmetric 5‐Hydroxymethylcytosine‐Modifications in DNA

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We investigate by proteomics studies how strand‐symmetric and ‐asymmetric cytosine 5‐modifications in DNA are selectively recognized by the nuclear proteome. Using promoter probes with defined modification patterns, we identify tissue‐specific reader proteinsincluding MYC, MAX, and RFX5that discriminate 5‐hydroxymethylcytosine symmetry and sequence ...

Differential cross sections and recoil polarizations for the reaction gamma p -> K+ Sigma0

open access: yes, 2010
High-statistics measurements of differential cross sections and recoil polarizations for the reaction $\gamma p \rightarrow K^+ \Sigma^0$ have been obtained using the CLAS detector at Jefferson Lab. We cover center-of-mass energies ($\sqrt{s}$) from 1.69
