The Challenge of Differentiating Mixed Histiocytosis: A Case Report
Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) and Erdheim–Chester Disease (ECD) are two forms of histiocytic disease with some overlapping features. They can have multisystem involvement, which makes it a diagnostic challenge. In this report, we present a patient who was diagnosed with both LCH and ECD over the span of 7 years.

The current LHC experimental program is scheduled to last until the end of 2023 and to result in a total data sample of about 300~fb$^{-1}$ at a $pp$ centre-of-mass energy close to the design value of 14~TeV. This will be followed by a high-luminosity phase in which the LHC instantaneous luminosity will be increased by a factor of up to 7.5 times the ...

3D sensors for the HL-LHC [PDF]
In order to increase its discovery potential, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) accelerator will be upgraded in the next decade. The high luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) period demands new sensor technologies to cope with increasing radiation fluences and particle rates.

Cancer Biology of GSPT1: Mechanisms and Targeted Therapy Opportunities of Molecular Glue Degraders
This review systemically summarizes the structure, expression, regulatory networks, and isoform‐specific signaling of GSPT1 in cancers. According to the integration of GSPT1 targeted therapies, current challenges of GSPT1 targeted therapies are further analyzed, and provide therapeutic opportunities for the application of GSPT1 degraders in precision ...

Mono-b events from single stop production at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC
Top-squarks (stop) play an important role in SUSY naturalness. The stop pair production is considered as the most effective way to search for stop at the LHC.

Sphaerochara canadensis (Charophyceae): A circumpolar species with a high temperature optimum
Abstract Sphaerochara canadensis, an aquatic macrophyte belonging to the Characeae, is described as a species with a circumpolar distribution and occurs in the polar (to boreal) zonobiomes, suggesting that it is cold‐stenothermic. A recent report of an occurrence in Lake Wolfgangsee, Austria, contradicted this assumption, prompting this study to ...

Fast failures in the LHC and the future high luminosity LHC
An energy of 362 MJ is stored in each of the two LHC proton beams for nominal beam parameters. This will be further increased to about 700 MJ in the future high luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) and uncontrolled beam losses represent a significant hazard for the ...
