Modern stainless steels are used in a wide variety of environments. The expected failure mechanisms of components are largely dependent upon the exact applications. In the present paper, the effect of nitrogen alloying on different wear mechanisms of stainless steels is considered.

The eigenvectors of H n can be constructed in many ways. One method is to use a modal matrix. Following Yarlagadda and Hershey (1982a) we first define a modal matrix. T n , of H n by $${T_n} = {H_n} + {\Lambda_n} $$ (14) where Λn is a diagonal matrix of the eigenvalues of H n as suggested by Kremer (1973) who continued on to suggest Gram ...

Mid-infrared spectra of He–HN+2 and He2–HN+2
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1996Mid-infrared vibrational spectra of He–HN+2 and He2–HN+2 have been recorded by monitoring their photofragmentation in a tandem mass spectrometer. For He–HN+2 three rotationally resolved bands are seen: the fundamental ν1 transition (N–H stretch) at 3158.419±0.009 cm−1, the ν1+νb combination band (N–H stretch plus intermolecular bend) at 3254.671±0.050 ...

Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo, 1995
The author considers groups with all normalizers of subnormal subgroups normal, a subclass of those groups where these normalizers are only subnormal. For the soluble groups of this wider class the reviewer could prove that they belong to the class \(NN_2N\). The author can show that \((HN)_2\)-groups belong to \(AN_2A\) if they are soluble.

Abstract Type HN is an iron-chromium-nickel alloy containing sufficient chromium for good high-temperature corrosion resistance and with nickel content in excess of the chromium. This alloy has properties somewhat similar to the more widely used ACI Type HT alloy but with better ductility.
