Luminescence Vapochromism of a Cu(I)/Na Phosphane Iodide Assembly Based on a Secondary‐Sphere Sodium Response

The luminescence of a heterometallic d‐s {Cu2I2Na2} phosphane‐phosphinate aggregate is regulated by an interplay of Na+–π/I– contacts and reversible coordination of oxygen‐containing organic molecules to Na ions. Structural variations caused by the incoming guest lead to a wide and selective variation of the emission color and illustrate a new approach

CO2‐to‐CO Electrochemical Conversion With an Fe(I) Porphyrin Complex in Water

Rather than the usual [Fe0] intermediate in organic solvents, CO2 binds the electrogenerated [FeI] species and undergoes reductive C─O cleavage to stable [FeII‐CO]. NHC‐Copper(I)‐Mediated Functionalization of White Phosphorus

White phosphorus is functionalized by N‐heterocyclic carbene supported copper(I) complexes through redox‐neutral steps. Treatment of the resulting complexes with electrophiles releases the ligands from the metal center as asymmetrically substituted organophosphorus butterfly compounds.
