Research on the Hobbing Processing Method of Marine Beveloid Gear

open access: yesMachines
Due to the particular structure of the beveloid gear, it cannot be directly hobbed by an ordinary gear hobbing machine. The existing processing method is complex and has a high cost.

Soybean yield performance in oxisols with varying morphological and physicochemical characteristics

open access: yesSoil Science Society of America Journal, Volume 90, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
Abstract Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) yield in tropical high‐altitude regions is strongly influenced by soil physical and chemical attributes, particularly in highly weathered oxisols, where variability among suborders may affect crop performance.

Resource Saving and Environmental Benefits From Cooking With Natural Fiber Handcrafted Boxes

open access: yesJournal of Food Process Engineering, Volume 49, Issue 5, May 2026.
Cooking meals in handcrafted boxes is commonly perceived as a more sustainable option than using hobs. This paper conducts a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that substantiates this assumption, quantitatively demonstrating that meal preparation without the box can lead to significantly higher overall environmental impacts.

The aeronautics face-gear NC hobbing machining technology

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2011
Face-gear drives become the main direction of research for aeronautical drives because of their special advantages. Face-gear machining problems have became to baffle the embedded research for face-gear. The basal coordinate systems of face-gear hobbing were setted up according to the face-gear hobbing theory.

6‐Methylsulfinylhexyl isothiocyanate activates carbonic anhydrase‐dependent HCO3−/H+/Na+/Ca2+ transport via SLC4As–NHE–NCX–PMCA axis in odontoblasts

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, Volume 604, Issue 7, Page 2816-2844, 1 April 2026.
Abstract figure legend 6‐Methylsulfinylhexyl isothiocyanate (6‐MSITC, hexaraphane), a wasabi sulfinyl compound, activates intracellular carbonic anhydrase (CA)‐mediated sequential HCO3−, Na+, H+ and Ca2+ transport through an activation axis involving HCO3−‐transporting solute carrier family 4 (SLC4As), the Na+–H+ exchanger (NHE), the Na+–Ca2+ exchanger

Enhancement in the teeth cutting operation on gear hobbing machine

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2022
Abstract Gear is mechanical component mounted on the shaft to transmit the power from one shaft to another. Gear is mostly manufactured by using the hobbing process. In hobbing process the tooth are cut on the gear blank with the help of the indexed hobs.

‘Expression is power’: Gender, residual culture and political aspiration at the Cumnock School of Oratory, 1870–1900

open access: yesGender &History, Volume 38, Issue 1, Page 121-138, March 2026.
Abstract This article investigates the ways in which late‐nineteenth‐century students at Northwestern University's Cumnock School of Oratory mobilised elocution training and parlour performance to foster mixed‐gender public discourse. I use student publications to reconstruct parlour meetings in which women and men adapted traditions of conversational ...

A Flank Correction Methodology for Hob Sharpening on the Five-Axis CNC Hob Sharpening Machine

open access: yesComputer-Aided Design and Applications, 2012
AbstractHobbing is the most widely employed cutting method for producing cylindrical gears, splines, and so on. However, because the wearing of the hob cutters always reduces their accuracy, the tooth faces on the hob gashes must be reground to ensure the accuracy of the machined gear and prolong the cutter’s lifetime.

Fault Diagnosis of Industrial Gear Hobbing Machine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Innovative Technology and Exploring Engineering, 2020
The aim of this paper is to develop a fault diagnosis algorithm by vibrational analysis for an industrial gear hobbing machine. Gear Hobbing is the most dominant and profitable process for manufacturing high quality gears. In order to sustain the market competition gear manufacturers, need to produce high quality gears with minimum possible cost ...
