Resource Saving and Environmental Benefits From Cooking With Natural Fiber Handcrafted Boxes
Cooking meals in handcrafted boxes is commonly perceived as a more sustainable option than using hobs. This paper conducts a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that substantiates this assumption, quantitatively demonstrating that meal preparation without the box can lead to significantly higher overall environmental impacts.

Consideration of residual stress and geometry during heat treatment to decrease shaft bending [PDF]
In automotive industry, heat treatment of components is implicitly related to distortion. This phenomenon is particularly obvious in the case of gearbox parts because of their typical geometry and precise requirements.

Schematic representation of the continuous lab‐scale process. ABSTRACT Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are nowadays fundamental in treating a wide range of severe diseases, including cancer, infections, or autoimmune disorders. Due to their high specificity, potent activity, and fewer side effects compared to small molecular drugs, the market for mAbs is ...

Extending VR and AR to On‐Site Applications: 443 Queen Street Transfer Slab Case Study
ABSTRACT Key findings in the literature show that poor collaboration contributes to 5%–20% of the contract value for construction rework. Moreover, communication can quickly deteriorate between the design team and the construction workers on‐site, which significantly impacts project performance.

Abstract The biogeochemical fate of terrestrial dissolved organic carbon (tDOC) in aquatic environments is a poorly understood part of the carbon cycle. In nature, tDOC undergoes photochemical and microbial degradation simultaneously. However, photochemical and microbial degradation are generally quantified separately, and nonlinear interactions ...

ABSTRACT This study evaluated the frictional properties of the skin‐contact interfaces of two multilayer prophylactic dressings under simulated perspiration conditions. The tested dressings were identical except for the skin‐contact interface, which was either silicone‐made or Hydrofiber‐made, that is, AQUACEL Hydrofiber Technology.
