LTB‐TREAT: A validated international prognostic model for time to treatment in low tumour burden follicular lymphoma

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
LTB‐TREAT is a validated international prognostic model that identifies three groups of patients with distinct rates of time to treatment (TTT) in low tumour burden follicular lymphoma. The low‐risk group has a prolonged TTT with WW. The high‐risk group has early progression in whom treatment at diagnosis can be considered. Summary Watchful waiting (WW)

Long‐term results of brentuximab vedotin and bendamustine for first‐line treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma in the elderly (HALO trial)

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary The Hodgkin lymphoma treatment in the elderly (eHL) is a challenge due to a narrow therapeutic window between therapy effectiveness and toxicity. Both bendamustine (Be) and brentuximab vedotin (BV) are well‐tolerated, effective drugs in relapsing HL, but no data exist on Be‐BV frontline treatment in eHL.

BrECADD in three days: Implementation of a condensed intensive first‐line regimen in Hodgkin lymphoma

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
BrECADD can be delivered over 3 days instead of four, reducing intravenous treatment days by 25% without compromising dose intensity. Among 30 patients with advanced‐stage Hodgkin lymphoma, no unexpected toxicity was observed; there were no early discontinuations, and 1‐year progression‐free and overall survival were both 100%.

SENIOR‐IPI: An easily applicable prognostic index for first‐line large B‐cell lymphomas patients >80 years treated with curative intent

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Using LYmphoma Study Association clinical trials combining 438 first‐line large B‐cell lymphomas (LBCL) patients >80 years old, we defined SENIOR‐IPI, an easily applicable prognostic index for this elderly population treated with an anti‐CD20‐miniCHOP (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone)‐based regimen.
