Prognostic Impact of Cytomegalovirus Reactivation After Transplantation From Cord Blood Compared to Other Donor Sources in Patients With Adult T‐Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma in the Pre‐Letermovir Era

open access: yesTransplant Infectious Disease, EarlyView.
Cytomegalovirus reactivation (CMV‐react) is an indicator to predict the increased non‐relapse mortality and decreased overall survival in adult T‐cell leukemia‐lymphoma patients who received allogeneic transplantation from HLA‐matched related and unrelated donors.

Impact of cellular composition and T‐cell senescence of mononuclear cell concentrates on the manufacturing process of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cells

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Apheresis procedure of autologous lymphocytes competent for proliferation and expansion is a crucial step in the production of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cells. Previous therapies or disease status prior to collection may negatively impact the collections.

Novel method for autologous peripheral blood stem cell harvest using highly concentrated sodium citrate solution replacing acid citrate dextrose solution A

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background As the processed blood volume increases, a larger amount of anticoagulant (AC) is required, which leads to a serious issue of fluid dilution in large‐volume leukocytapheresis (defined as ≥3‐fold total blood volume). We previously reported a novel method for allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell harvest (PBSCH) using highly ...

Artificial Intelligence in Veterinary Clinical Pathology—An Introduction and Review

open access: yesVeterinary Clinical Pathology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI), particularly through machine learning and deep learning, presents opportunities for the enhancement of the workflow of the veterinary clinical pathologist. This review introduces basic concepts in AI in a nontechnical manner and explores the qualification and integration of AI in veterinary clinical pathology. The

GluN2C/D‐containing NMDA receptors enhance temporal summation and increase sound‐evoked and spontaneous firing in the inferior colliculus

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Here, we find that GluN2D‐containing NMDA receptors (NMDARs) are expressed by most vasoactive intestinal peptide neurons in the inferior colliculus (IC). These receptors are less susceptible to Mg2+ blockade compared to GluN2A/B‐containing NMDARs, allowing ions to flow at resting membrane potential.
