Terrain Matching by Fusing HOG With Zernike Moments
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2020A new matching algorithm is proposed by fusing the histogram of oriented gradients’ and the Zernike moments’ descriptors extracted from the real-time synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images and the real-time elevation maps (REMs), respectively. Both the SAR images and the REMs are acquired by an on-board interferometric SAR simultaneously.

Experimental behaviour of composite beams subjected to a hogging moment
Steel & Composite structures, 2012The present work addresses the rotational capacity of steel-concrete composite beams, which is a key issue for the seismic design of composite frames. Several experimental tests from the literature are summarised, and the effects of various parameters on the available plastic rotation are discussed.

Charts for Estimating Nonlinear Hogging and Sagging Bending Moments
Journal of Ship Research, 1995Abstract This paper presents charts for preliminary estimates of the nonlinearities associated with wave bending moments acting on a ship moving in a stationary sea. Deviation of the actual hull shape above the waterline from "vertical wall" is characterized by a flare coefficient.

Mechanical Performance of Steel-Concrete Composite Beams Subjected to a Hogging Moment
Journal of Structural Engineering, 2014Limited experimental results have been reported in the literature on the fatigue and ultimate static loading behavior of composite beams subjected to negative bending moment. This paper examines experimentally the behavior of composite steel-concrete beams.

Investigation on partially concrete encased composite beams under hogging moment
Advances in Structural Engineering, 2016In order to investigate the mechanical behavior of the partially concrete encased composite beam under hogging moment, static loading tests were conducted on one conventional composite beam and three partially concrete encased composite beams. The results show that partially concrete encased composite beams have higher stiffness and flexural capacity ...

Critical Inter-Load Spacing for Hogging Moments in Three-Span Bridges
Structures, 2018Abstract This article outlines the determination of the inter-load spacing between two equal point loads traversing a continuous three-span beam, such that the bending moment at the first interior support is a maximum. Different side-span ratios are considered. Exact closed-form expressions are derived, as well as a simple close approximation, making
