Study on dynamic characteristics and compensation of wire rope tension based on oil pressure sensor
The oil pressure sensors are installed on the hydraulic connection device to monitor the tension of wire ropes. The change of acceleration during the operation process of hoist causes the tension change of each wire rope.

CALCULATION OF SPECIAL HOISTING WIRE DEVICES WITH ELASTIC-PLASTIC LOADING
The article describes the use of hoisting wire devices (HWD) — parallel bunches of wire turns bonded by twisted ends on the outside. The calculation results of the bearing capacity of these HWD, taking into account elastic-plastic loading and safety requirements for their use, in which HWD wires strength assessment was conducted on tensile and bend ...

Arguments for a "U.S. Kamioka": SNOLab and its Implications for North American Underground Science Planning [PDF]
We argue for a cost-effective, long-term North American underground science strategy based on partnership with Canada and initial construction of a modest U.S. Stage I laboratory designed to complement SNOLab.

Abstract Background Dietitians–nutritionists (DNs) play a key role in intensive care units (ICUs), yet their scope of practice varies across settings. This study aimed to describe the professional practices of DNs working in ICUs in Latin America and to identify factors associated with their level of professional activity.
