Study on Influence of Grouting on Mechanical Characteristics and Stress Concentration in Hole-Containing Rock

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Grouting technology is a pivotal methodology for enhancing the mechanical properties of defective surrounding rock masses in tunnel engineering. Through uniaxial compression tests on intact, hole-containing, and grouted marble specimens, the influence of

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Hole Filling for View Synthesis Using Depth Guided Global Optimization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
View synthesis is an effective way to generate multi-view contents from a limited number of views, and can be utilized for 2-D-to-3-D video conversion, multi-view video compression, and virtual reality. In the view synthesis techniques, depth-image-based

Operando dynamics of trapped carriers in perovskite solar cells observed via infrared optical activation spectroscopy

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Conventional spectroscopies are not sufficiently selective to comprehensively understand the behaviour of trapped carriers in perovskite solar cells, particularly under their working conditions. Here we use infrared optical activation spectroscopy (i.e.,

Filling Holes in Triangular Meshes in Engineering

open access: yesJournal of Software, 2012
In this paper, a novel hole-filling algorithm for triangular meshes is proposed. Firstly, the hole is triangulated into a set of new triangles using modified principle of minimum angle. Then the initial patching mesh is refined according to the density of vertices on boundary edges.

Emergent Topological Magnons and Thermal Hall Effect in 2D Filling‐Enforced Fully Compensated Ferrimagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of ferroelectric‐intercalation‐driven transitions in magnetic configurations and magnonic topological phases, together with the symmetry relations of magnonic Berry curvature. ABSTRACT Magnons in collinear magnets with vanishing net magnetization offer unique advantages for spin transport, including ultrafast dynamics and ...

Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

Multiplons in the two-hole excitation spectra of the one-dimensional Hubbard model

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
Using the density-matrix renormalization group in combination with the Chebyshev polynomial expansion technique, we study the two-hole excitation spectrum of the one-dimensional Hubbard model in the entire filling range from the completely occupied band (
