Hole Transport Layer in Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting
Solar RRL, 2023Photoelectrochemical water splitting is a promising approach to produce green and renewable hydrogen fuel, alleviating the CO2 emissions, air pollution, and energy crisis. However, the efficiency is limited by the recombination of photogenerated carriers and the losses of holes, resulting in a mismatch between the rates of water oxidation and reduction

Hole transport layers deposited by magnetron sputtering
III SEVEN INTERNATIONAL MULTIDISCIPLINARY CONGRESS, 2023Nickel oxide films have been widely studied as hole transport layers in perovskite solar cells because they present good chemical stability and nickel is abundant in nature. In this study, films were deposited using Magnetron Sputtering with a pulsed source.

Enhanced hole transport in C60-doped hole transport layer
Applied Physics Letters, 2006The carrier mobility of C60-doped hole transport layer was investigated according to the C60 content. The addition of C60 in the 1, 3, 5-tris (N, N-bis-(4, 5-methoxyphenyl)-aminophenyl) benzol (TDAPB) hole transport material resulted in the increase of hole mobility of TDAPB.

Ambipolar Charge Transport in “Traditional” Organic Hole Transport Layers
Advanced Materials, 2012Organic semiconductors are often labeled as electron or hole transport materials due to the primary role they perform in devices. However, despite these labels we have shown using time-of-flight that two of the traditional "hole transport materials" TPD and NPB are actually excellent electron transporters the electron transport properties of which are ...

A hole-blocking layer (HBL), 2,9-dimethyl-4, 7-diphenylphenanthroline (BCP), was incorporated between the hole-transporting layer (HTL) and hole-injection layer for a tris-(8-hydroxyqunoline) aluminum-based organic light-emitting device. Such a structure helps to reduce the hole-leakage to the cathode resulting in improved current efficiency.

Enhanced hole injection and transport in molybdenum-dioxide-doped organic hole-transporting layers
Journal of Applied Physics, 2008We have found that molybdenum dioxide (MoO2) is an excellent dopant for enhancing electrical conductivities in organic hole-transporting layers. We fabricated hole-only devices with an alpha-sexithiophene (α-6T) layer doped with MoO2 at various concentrations to investigate how doping MoO2 into the α-6T layers influences the hole-injection and hole ...

Atomic layer deposition of NiO hole-transporting layers for polymer solar cells
Nanotechnology, 2015NiO is an attractive hole-transporting material for polymer solar cells (PSCs) owing to its excellent stability and electrical/optical properties. This study demonstrates, for the first time, fabrication of uniform, defect-free, and conformal NiO ultra-thin films for use as hole-transporting layers (HTLs) in PSCs by atomic layer deposition (ALD ...
