Dislocation-assisted electron and hole transport in GaN epitaxial layers

open access: yesNature Communications
Dislocations significantly influence carrier transport in semiconductors. While segments orthogonal to the channel act as scattering centers impeding conduction, electrically active dislocation cores can facilitate carrier transport. However, the mechanisms governing carrier transport along dislocation cores remain unclear.

X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...

Introduction of Graphene Oxide as Buffer Layer in Perovskite Solar Cells and the Promotion of Soluble n-Butyl-substituted Copper Phthalocyanine as Efficient Hole Transporting Material

open access: yes, 2017
Organometal halide perovskite solar cells have been constructed using soluble tetra-n-butyl-copper phthalocyanine as hole transporting material. Devices were constructed and characterized under ambient conditions of 50–60% ambient humidity.

Efficient All-Inorganic Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes with Cesium Tungsten Bronze as a Hole-Transporting Layer

open access: yes, 2020
The realization of high-performance optoelectronic devices requires excellent charge-transporting layers and efficient carrier recombination. Herein, we synthesized cesium tungsten bronze (Cs0.32WO3) nanocrystals and utilized them as the hole ...

Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

Light-Emitting and Hole-Transporting Polymers for LEDs

open access: yes, 1997
Various copolymers of arylene vinylenes, having strong fluorescence, showed predominantly the emission in the multi-layer device using an electron-transporting material(ETM) such as tris(8-quinolinolato)aluminum(Alq3).

Rationally Designed Bilayer Passivation Strategy for High‐Performance Vacuum‐Processed Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bilayer “Anchor‐and‐Seal” passivation strategy using EDAI2 and 4MeO‐PEAI effectively mitigates surface defects in vacuum‐processed perovskite films through synergistic hydrogen bonding and Lewis base coordination. This approach optimizes interfacial energy alignment and suppresses non‐radiative recombination, enabling vacuum‐deposited p‐i‐n ...

Development of Simple Hole-transporting Materials for Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yes, 2015
Three low-cost propeller-shaped hole-transporting materials based on a triphenylamine core were investigated in perovskite solar cells. Each hole-transporting material was designed with highly modular side-arms, allowing for different bandgaps while ...
