Pickering‐Engineered Microparticles for Magnetically Guided Motion and Light‐Triggered Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetically responsive wax microparticles stabilized by hematite cubes through the Pickering emulsification strategy are developed, showing controlled size, motion, and light‐activated catalytic activity. Annealing under a magnetic field enhances their mobility and steering.

Multifunctional Gold Nanocluster‐Based PROTAC System for Targeted Degradation of Phosphorylated Tau and Modulation of Neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a novel proteolysis‐targeting chimera (PROTAC) system conjugated to lipoic acid gold nanoclusters (PLANC), designed to degrade pTau, regulate inflammatory signaling, and effectively traverse the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). PLANC degraded pTau at various phosphorylation sites, with mechanistic studies confirming proteasome‐mediated degradation

Holism and interprofessional learning: from the whole patient to the whole team

open access: yes, 2004
We need to re-visit holistic attitudes in medicine and the approaches to managing health and illness that we developed 20 years ago. Sue Morrison argues that we should be looking at holism in its widest sense to encompass the working team and its ...

The evidence of holism

open access: yes, 2007
Evidential holism, which is closely associated with the works of W.V.O. Quine, maintains that evidence is only applicable to whole theories. It is endorsed in many disparate debates about analyticity, a priority, mathematical Platonism, and meaning.
