Holistic Medicine: Holistic, Humanistic and Musical

open access: yesJournal of Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, 2017
Since technical treatment of holistic medicine lands it in an odd “specific holism,” this paper considers holistic medicine in holistic humanistic way. This paper shows that holistic health as necessary is incoherent, and so holistic medicine is impossible; such indispensable impossibility calls us to music.

Comprehensive Understanding of Accelerated Kinetics Driven by Anion–Diluent Dynamics Enabling Wide Temp Operation in Dual‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The transient interactions between TFSI− anions and a diluent within an anion‐dictated electrolyte are revealed, which can reduce interfacial reorganization energy, thereby accelerating ion kinetics and markedly facilitating sustainable anion storage in high‐voltage graphite cathodes for dual‐ion batteries at fast charge and wide temperature range ...

Aqueously Upcycled Lignin with Emergent Tribonegativity for Skin‐Integrated Triboelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueously upcycled lignin is transformed into a printable ink that self‐assembles into a nanotextured surface during printing with the highest reported biopolymer‐based tribonegativity. The resulting skin‐integrated triboelectric sensor enables high‐fidelity cardiovascular monitoring and objective mental workload classification, demonstrating a ...
