Yttrium doping in Sb‐alloyed BiSe synergistically induces Bi vacancies and flattens conduction bands, simultaneously slashing lattice thermal conductivity by 50% and boosting the power factor. The optimized n‐type Bi0.64Sb0.3Y0.06Se delivers a peak zT of 0.91 at 393 K (average zT 0.76, 300–523 K) and an 8‐pair module with 4.6% conversion efficiency ...

Studies on face recognition have suggested a relationship between holistic processing and right hemisphere (RH) lateralization. Thus, it has long been assumed that holistic processing is a property of RH processing.

The composite task reveals stronger holistic processing in children than adults for child faces. [PDF]
BACKGROUND:While own-age faces have been reported to be better recognized than other-age faces, the underlying cause of this phenomenon remains unclear.

Inverted faces are (eventually) processed holistically
Face inversion effects are used as evidence that faces are processed differently from objects. Nevertheless, there is debate about whether processing differences between upright and inverted faces are qualitative or quantitative. We present two experiments comparing holistic processing of upright and inverted faces within the composite task, which ...

Sea cucumber mutable collagenous tissue (MCT) is a remarkable collagen‐based material which can rapidly undergo large changes in stiffness through transiently bound effector proteins. Here, we investigate the hierarchical structure and mechanical response of MCT from Cucumaria frondosa across length scales with a wide range of methods, also exploring ...

Nanoemulsion delivery of a TLR7 agonist enhances safety and promotes colocalization with Leishmania‐infected macrophages in skin lesions, enabling a ∼2‐log reduction in parasite burden. However, tissue‐level constraints and TLR‐driven regulatory feedback generate a mixed immune response that limits complete parasite clearance.
