The iron-neon hollow-cathode spectrum [PDF]
Over 4000 wave lengths are listed between 1900 and 9000 Å for Fe i, Fe ii, Ne i and Ne ii lines measured in a hollow cathode discharge tube with iron electrodes and a neon gas filling. Photoe-electric traces between 2400 and 5700 Å on a semiquantitative intensity scale are also included. For Fe i, energy values for 124 even and 240 odd levels have been

Hollow Cathode Discharges - Analytical Applications
The low pressure glow discharges considered in this paper are the hollow cathode (Paschen), and the flat cathode (Grimm). Both discharges have similar voltage-current characteristics which are responsible for their radiation stability. The analytical sample is supplied to the discharge through a sputtering mechanism which provides a stable and non ...

Fluorinated Hollow Porous Carbon Spheres as High-Performance Cathode Material for Primary Battery
Fluorinated carbon cathode materials have extremely high theoretical specific energy among known cathode materials of lithium primary batteries. Nevertheless, current fluorinated carbon cannot meet the performance demands of future applications due to ...

Iodine compatible hollow cathode [PDF]
Most electric propulsion (EP) systems utilize xenon gas as a propellant, which is expensive and must be stored in heavy high-pressure tanks, within which the storage density is still lower than desired. The halogen iodine (I2) has risen as a leading alternative propellant with the potential to overcome these drawbacks with its lower cost, higher ...

The generation of an electron beam by a hollow cathode gun in a cusp magnetic field is discussed. Such a gun is proposed for an electron cooling device without toroids. In a section with a homogeneous magnetic field, this beam experiences a disturbance region near the axis where the electron temperature becomes higher.

Hollow cathode life-time prediction from low work function surface coverage evolution [PDF]
In this paper a procedure to update the plasma parameters relatively to changes of the hollow cathode surface work function has been developed. This procedure has been validated with experimental results and then coupled with the deposition/desorption ...

Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries are deemed as the attractive systems for high-energy storage. However, the polysulfides shuttling with slow redox kinetics has seriously hindered their practical applications. Herein, sulfur-deficient zinc sulfide (ZnS1−x)
